Bessie Lynn Burk, DNP, FNP-BC, FAANP is a family nurse practitioner, Doctor of Nursing Practice. She is the current Director of Medical Services at Sun Life Family Health Center in Arizona. Her development and implementation of unique evidence-based care models within her rural communities include access to Medication Assisted Treatment and HIV prevention programs. She founded and is maintaining the only volunteer primary care clinic in her rural area. Her devotion has led to her selection as a reference within the political environment surrounding health care and numerous elected positions within Nurse Practitioner associations. She was selected as Search Preceptor of the Year and has received commendations by the Pinal County Public Health Department for her unique and successful approach to the pandemic.
