Rhonda Lynn Goodman PhD, ARNP, FNP-BC, AHN-BC, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Rhonda Goodman is a retired Associate Professor of Nursing. She developed an international collaborative partnership among several Non-Governmental Agencies in Guatemala. and a university in Ecuador. Through this collaboration, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, and students have provided primary healthcare, health screenings, foot care clinics, and women's health screenings for over 14,000 indigenous people in rural Guatemala. and 1,000 in Ecuador. She has built a school, four playgrounds, two school kitchens, installed over 300 woodstoves and 100 water filters. This resulted in several research studies, publications and presentations at national and international conferences. She has been awarded the Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award, Nurse of the Year, Educator of the Year, Excellence and Innovation in Education, 100 Great Nurses of Florida, Community Engagement in Teaching Award, Community Engagement in Service Award, Daisy Award, and the Faculty Service Award. She is the recipient of the Sigma Audrey Hepburn Award for Contributions to the Health and Welfare of Children. She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and of the American Academy of Nursing.
