Jessica Macintyre DNP, MBA, APRN, NP-C, AOCNP, FAANP
Dr. Jessica MacIntyre is the President of the Oncology Nursing Society and an Assistant Vice President at the University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, Florida. She also serves as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and the Director of the Oncology Nurse Practitioner Fellowship Program at the University of Miami, the first program in Florida to be accredited with distinction. Additionally, Dr. MacIntyre is an Affiliated Faculty of the University of Miami School of Nursing & Health Studies and Director of the post-graduate certificate program in oncology.
Dr. MacIntyre earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and MBA from Johns Hopkins University. With over 20 years of experience in oncology nursing and leadership, she has been actively involved in local and national organizations, serving on various leadership boards, including the American Cancer Society and as past president of the Nurse Practitioner Council of Miami-Dade, Inc. She has numerous publications and is a sought-after speaker both nationally and internationally.
For her contributions to education and leadership in advanced practice, Dr. MacIntyre has received several awards, including the 2018 American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) State Award for Excellence, the Walmart Community Playmaker Award, and recognition from the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Healthcare. Most recently, she was honored as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Her areas of expertise encompass advanced practice, patient navigation, survivorship, and supportive care. Dr. MacIntyre is also a principal investigator in research focusing on oral treatment adherence, patient-reported outcomes, cancer prevention, and cancer survivorship clinic outcomes.
