Leigh Small PhD, RN, CPNP-PC, FNAP, FAANP, FAAN
Dr. Small received her baccalaureate degree in 1981 from Keuka College. After hearing Dr. Ford speak about the nurse practitioner role, Dr Small aspired to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). With that goal, she attained a master's degree from the University of Rochester and became a certified PNP in 1993. Frustrated by the limited research evidence available to improve the health of her patients, Dr. Small pursued a PhD which was conferred in 2003. Since that time, she has worked to improve the health outcomes of all children and their families through her research and mentorship of students.
