Heather L Johnson Lt Col, USAF (Ret), DNP, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr Heather Johnson is an advocate for improving healthcare and educational outcomes for vulnerable populations. Her leadership on a number of key educational, clinical and multi-disciplinary initiatives have a positive impact on military and national policy and practice including pediatric service activities with the National Academy of Medicine (formerly IOM), National Center for Disaster Medicine and Public Health and the Department of Defense. She is an accomplished author, lecturer and educator dedicated to optimizing care and resources for active duty military, veterans and their families. Dr. Johnson is an Associate Professor, Director & Chair of the Family & Women's Health Nurse Practitioner Program at the Uniformed Services University. Her current scholarship centers around children with special healthcare needs, especially autism.
