Melissa R Troncoso PhD, RN, FNP-C, NBC-HWC, FAANP
CAPT Melissa Troncoso is the clinical site director at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth for the Uniformed Services University Graduate School of Nursing and the Navy Nursing Research Specialty Leader. She is dedicated to fostering a culture of health within the military; improving patient and clinician well-being; and preparing nurse practitioners to become transformational leaders. CAPT Troncoso is actively shaping the Department of Defense's nutrition and weight management policies. She is a Jonas-Geneva Veterans Healthcare Scholar, and her military awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
