Laura F Searcy MN, RN, APRN, PPCNP-BC, FAANP
Laura Searcy is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with a passion for children’s health and wellbeing, with extensive experience in primary care practice, child and adolescent injury prevention, substance use prevention, child health advocacy, government affairs and non-profit board governance. Ms. Searcy is a recognized nurse leader and served as 2016-2017 president of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP). She is a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Co-Chair of the AANP’s pediatric specialty practice group. Ms. Searcy served three terms as an elected member of the Cobb County Board of Education and was a founding board member and eventual chair of the Cobb Community Alliance to Prevent Substance Abuse. She has expertise in youth substance use prevention, including youth tobacco product use prevention and cessation. She is also a Sources of Strength trainer (evidence-based, school-based suicide prevention program). Ms. Searcy is a frequent speaker and trainer and often consults on issues related to child health, injury prevention, and health policy.
