Dr. Christy Blanco is an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University in El Paso and gained national visibility and became a voice for NP practice when she opened her clinic in a full practice state while living in a red state. The exposure led her to being featured in Bloomberg BusinessWeek, The New York Times and the Texas Tribune. Dr. Blanco uses a servant leadership model as the President of Texas Nurse Practitioners and past Texas North AANP State Representative. Due to her strong lobbying for NPs she has testified for NP legislation in the Texas House and Senate.
