Leonie Clare Declerk PhD, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. DeClerk is Director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a family nurse practitioner and practices as a faculty preceptor in a student-led Interprofessional clinic, serving the needs of uninsured and under-insured in central Arkansas. She was appointed by the Governor Hutchinson to chair the Arkansas Full Independent Practice Credentialing Committee and is active in the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties Health Policy Education Special Interest Group. In addition to her numerous publications, the most recent focused on understanding complexities of attitudes of NPs towards precepting, she was the recipient of the 2020 AANP State Award for Excellence.
