Dr. Joseph is the system senior director of the Nursing Innovation and Research Center at Cook County Health. She has made a profound impact on the accessibility and quality of health care for diverse populations, particularly through the development of the GERD Diagnostic Center and an innovative APRN-led care delivery model for GERD patients. This model has significantly improved access to timely, effective treatment, reducing health disparities and enhancing patient outcomes, while her leadership in state, national and international partnerships has shaped the future of the nurse practitioner profession, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Dr. Joseph has been widely recognized for her contributions to nursing, receiving honors such as the ANA-Illinois 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader Award, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners National Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice and the distinguished Fellow designation from the National Academies of Practice.
