Candy Wilson PhD, APRN, WHNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN
Candy Wilson is a tenured Professor at Florida Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, FL. Dr. Wilson is a retired Colonel from the United States Air Force and has served in the active duty forces for 30 years. Throughout her nursing and military career, she has provided patient care as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. While in Afghanistan, she provided humanitarian care to women and children in remote villages, who previously received no health care. Dr. Wilson’s interest in symptom science research through an occupational health focus addressed military women’s health needs in three prominent areas: women's deployment health; nutritional needs in training; and chronic pain management. This interest led to informing health care policy and clinical practice.
