Annie J Rohan PhD RN NNP-BC CPNP-PC FAANP FAAN
Dr. Annie Rohan, PhD RN NNP-BC CPNP-PC, is the Director of Pediatric Research at Stony Brook University School of Nursing where she is also core faculty in its DNP program. She earned her PhD at Columbia University, where she was selected into the first national cohort of Jonas Nursing Scholars. She now serves on the Alumni Advisory Council to the Jonas Organization, as well as on the Board of the Columbia University CUPHSONAA Alumni Organization. Dr. Rohan's well-funded program of interdisciplinary research focuses on developing novel approaches and biomedical devices for attenuating biofilm accumulation to reduce catheter associated infection. She is also committed to providing healthcare and educational access for disadvantaged populations, and is the recent recipient of a $2.3 million federal grant from the Department of Health and Human Services to provide scholarships to RNs who are interested in pursuing careers as NPs. Dr. Rohan is an Editorial Board Member of MCN: American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing, where she shares responsibility for its "Toward Evidence-Based Practice" column. She has authored numerous articles, and presented both nationally and internationally. She also enjoys serving as a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) site evaluator. Importantly, Dr. Rohan has served for over 25 years as an APRN in both the neonatal critical care and pediatric primary care environments.
