Cindy L Munro PhD, ARNP, ANP-BC, FAANP, FAAN, FAAAS
Dr. Munro is Dean of the University of Miami School of Nursing and Health Studies. She is a certified adult nurse practitioner and Co-Editor of the American Journal of Critical Care. Her research focuses on reducing risks of critical illness, including ventilator-associated pneumonia and delirium. Dr. Munro is an expert in patient safety and quality. She has published extensively on health-care acquired infections, critical care nursing practice, and bio-behavioral research. Dr. Munro is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American College of Chest Physicians, Society of Critical Care Medicine, Sigma Theta Tau International, and the Southern Nursing Research Society.
