Carol D Moffett PhD, FNP-BC, CDE, FAANP
Dr. Moffett has been a family nurse practitioner for 20 years. In that capacity, her passion to prevent and eliminate diabetes is demonstrated in her work in public health, and as a researcher. Carol established 19 community-based clinics serving the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona to provide child, adult, and women's health services. She has mentored and served as a preceptor to nurse practitioner students. Dr. Moffett's research has enhanced the body of knowledge related to the precursors of diabetes in childhood and strategies to enhance diabetes prevention through intensive lifestyle interventions in pregnant women. Carol retired from the USPHS in 2015 and is now in a DNP faculty position at Arizona State University.
