Amie M Koch DNP, FNP-C, RN, ACHPN, FAANP
Amie Koch is an associate professor at Duke University School of Nursing and family nurse practitioner with Duke Family Medicine and the Mobile Prevention and Care Team. She has contributed to NIH-funded research studies, she is an expert in qualitative research, and holds certification as an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN). She authored and co-authored 36 manuscripts, two book chapters, and has over 55 national and international presentations on her work on communication, palliative care, and promoting the health of vulnerable and minoritized individuals and communities. She received two faculty teaching awards. As the first NP working in pediatric heart transplant in her region she was awarded the Strength, Hope and Caring clinical award. She earned the honorable recognition of North Carolina Great 100 nurses award for her contributions to nursing excellence and leadership, and earned the Duke University Humanitarian Award for lifelong commitment to caring for, and serving those in need.
