Garrett Chan, PhD, APRN, FAEN, FPCN, FNAP, FCNS, FAAN, FAANP is President & CEO of HealthImpact, the California nursing workforce and policy center; Associate Adjunct Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco; and Associate Professor at the Høgskolen i Molde (University College of Molde), Norway. Dr. Chan is a subject matter expert in legal issues related to NP practice and leads initiatives to improve educational standards, accreditation, and scope of practice and through NP policy and education through his work in California, Japan, and Norway. Dr. Chan is an elected Fellow in the Academy of Emergency Nursing, Palliative Care Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist Institute, National Academies of Practice, and the American Academy of Nursing.
