Vanessa M Kalis DNP, ACNP-BC, CPNP-AC, FAANP
Dr. Vanessa Kalis, DNP, ACNP-BC, CPNP-AC, CHSE is a Nurse Practitioner and Educator. She currently works as a Nurse Practitioner in Southern California, working with congenital heart disease patients. She is also a previous Professor at Brandman University/University of Massachusetts Global. During her career, she spearheaded the NP role in cardiac electrophysiology, starting a remote home monitoring program in 2008. She also developed a high-fidelity simulation program for acute care students in addition to her full-time academic position. Her work in simulation helped to earn her certification as a healthcare simulation educator (CHSE). Her expertise led to over 25 invited podium presentations and she was awarded presidential awards of service from 2 professional organizations in 2022.
