Courtney Marie Pladsen DNP, FNP-BC, CARN-AP, FAANP
Dr. Pladsen is the medical director for Maine’s Medicaid Program and a nurse practitioner at the Healthcare for the Homeless Clinic at Greater Portland Health. Dr. Pladsen is a national expert in providing clinical care to people experiencing homelessness and a national subject matter expert in health care and housing policy. She was the first clinical director at the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, the first nurse practitioner in Maine and only the second NP in the country to hold the position of Medicaid Medical Director. Dr. Pladsen has received myriad accolades for her work, including the AANP Clinical Excellence Award from two states, the Nurses with Global Impact recognition from the United Nations and was a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow (RWJF) in the Culture of Health Leaders program.
