Dr. Michelle A. Nelson is a clinical, academic, health policy, and organizational expert and nurse leader. An FNP specializing in Anticoagulation at Staten Island University Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor at Georgia State University, she is very well known for her legislative advocacy, service, and teaching. She is a prolific speaker, leader and motivator and serves as State President of UAPRN and Co-Director of CAPRN. She spearheads multiple healthcare initiatives and develops the leaders of tomorrow. She was recently awarded the AANP 2019 Excellence in State Advocacy for Georgia and appointed to the Georgia Commission on Women.
