Juan Manuel Gonzalez, DNP, APRN, AGACNP-BC, ENP-C, FNP-BC, CEN, CNE, FAANP is an Associate Professor of Clinical at the University of Miami School of Nursing and emergency nurse practitioner. His most significant contributions to NP education and practice are health promotion, disease prevention, and global health. He has led mission trips and exchange programs internationally, published over 28 peer-reviewed manuscripts and chapters related to advanced nursing practice, and received over seven million dollars in funding as a principal and co-investigator for the advancement greof nurse practitioner education and improvement of patient care. Additionally, he has received multiple teaching awards for his excellence as an educator and clinician.
