Dr. Love is a Clinical Professor and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs- Graduate Clinical Education at the University of Florida. Dr. Love has worked in numerous positions in psych mental health providing care in both inpatient and outpatient setting. These positions included direct patient care as well as administration and quality improvement. Her practice focus is trauma and she led Tennessee schools in preparing to address mental health after a crisis/disaster and provided leadership within the Red Cross. Her research interest is focused on resilience within trauma victims that have co-occurring addiction issues. In particular, her research dissertation focused on the vulnerable population of female street prostitutes. She has received the Jefferson Cup for her disaster work, the March of Dimes APN of the year and is a Fellow in the National Academies of Practice. She has obtained several HRSA grants supporting PMHNP student stipends for practice in rural/medically underserved populations and opioid addiction as well as training nurses as sexual assault nurse examiner.
