Theresa M Wadas PhD, DNP, ACNP-BC, FNP-BC, CCRN, FAANP
Dr. Theresa Wadas is a retired Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama. Her expertise is in acute care practice and her most significant contribution is as an educator in the acute care nurse practitioner role and the implementation of perioperative and cardiovascular sub-specialties. Dr. Wadas’ academic role has evolved to include DNP mentorship and guiding projects that impact vulnerable populations. Her second contribution is in policy. In working with national and state NP organizations, she assisted in the role delineation of the Acute Care -Adult Gero NP. She also serves as a nurse practitioner advocate nationally and locally. She currently practices as an acute care practitioner in critical care.
