Cara J. Riek, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, IBCLC, DABLS is a board-certified family nurse practitioner and International Board Certifier Lactation Consultant. She is the founder and owner of Arizona Breastfeeding Medicine and Wellness. Cara has focused her career on filling a void of knowledge for breastfeeding families. She is the creator of Lactation Education for Healthcare Providers, a website containing learning modules to educate providers about the benefits of breastfeeding and how to incorporate into healthcare practice. She speaks nationally and internationally at conferences and educational seminars on breastfeeding support and the multidisciplinary approach to frenectomy care. Cara is a diplomate of the American Board of Laser Surgery and a Fellow of the American Laser Study Club.
