Linda Marie Gibson-Young PhD, ARNP, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Linda Gibson-Young is a faculty member with Auburn University School of Nursing. Her career in higher education started in 2011 with the University of Central Florida and continued with Texas A&M: Corpus Christi University prior to moving to Auburn University in 2016. She is a nationally certified asthma educator and board-certified family nurse practitioner and has committed her program of research to child asthma, school-based education and wellness initiatives, and community-engaged scholarship.
Dr. Gibson-Young is the Outreach Coordinator with Auburn University School of Nursing. She partners with a team of faculty, staff, and students to link outreach and research initiatives for child health and development, population health outcomes, health disparities, rural health outreach with community engagement, and advocacy.
As a board-certified family nurse practitioner, she partners with primary and specialty care providers to connect with children and families living with asthma. Two state asthma camps provide opportunities for education, activities, and increased awareness for families.
