John Barrett DNP, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Barrett is a leader in nurse practitioner education and currently serves as a nurse practitioner at the University of Pennsylvania, where he directs advanced practice provider education in point-of-care ultrasound. His pioneering work in ultrasound education has significantly expanded the role of nurse practitioners, leading to improved patient outcomes and greater recognition of NPs as essential providers in health care. He was instrumental in developing innovative training programs, including the redesign of core DNP courses and nationally hosted ultrasound workshops at AANP. Dr. Barrett’s awards at Penn Medicine, an institution with over 40,000 employees, include recognition as the Advanced Practice Educator of the Year.
