Lovoria B Williams PhD, APRN-BC, FAANP
Dr. Lovoria B. Williams is an Associate Professor in the College of Nursing at the University of Kentucky. She is an expert clinician with significant contributions to nurse practitioner practice in the areas of prevention and tobacco cessation. She is the recipient of numerous awards such as Outstanding Faculty Member, Excellence in Published Writing, Excellence in Research, and Spirit of Nursing for the Advanced Practice Nurses of the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Societies. She utilizes community based participatory methods to conduct health disparities research in African American churches and medically-undeserved areas. She is currently PI on a community-based cancer awareness project aimed to increase lung cancer screening.
