Dawn M Vanderhoef PhD, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Dawn Vanderhoef is a clinician with expertise in treating severe mental illness and a transformative educational leader. She creates active learning environments that prepare practice ready Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners who are equipped to be health care leaders. In the clinical area she is an expert in cardiometabolic screening for SMI patients and integrated health care models. She is an active member of APNA, NONPF, and Neuroscience Education Institute (NEI). Dr. Vanderhoef is currently the academic director of one of the oldest PMHNP programs in the country, ranked #4 by U.S News and World Report, annually graduating 50-60 students.
