Frank Guido-Sanz, PhD, APRN, ANP-BC, AGACNP-BC, FAANP, is a Professor of Clinical And Associate Dean of Simulation at the University of Miami. He is certified as an adult and adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, with 25 years of experience as a critical care nurse and over 18 years as a nurse practitioner. Dr. Guido-Sanz is an expert in acute care and an established nurse practitioner scientist. His research focus on innovative technology, interprofessional research, and simulation has led to groundbreaking contributions to the field. He is a co-inventor of three patented multi-sensory and adaptive visual wound simulation systems, and several additional patents are pending. Dr. Guido-Sanz's research interests are combat casualty and critical care, wounds, pressure injuries, trauma, and disaster health. Additionally, Dr. Guido-Sanz is a certified healthcare simulationist with expertise in simulation education using reality modalities (VR, AR, XR), artificial intelligence, digital twins, and holograms.
