Joan Miravite DNP, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, FAAN, FAANP
Dr. Joan Miravite is a leader in the care of patients with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, particularly Deep Brain Stimulation at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. She is Assistant Professor of Neurology at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, adjunct faculty at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, Clinical Instructor for Columbia University, and core faculty for the Parkinson’s Foundation Team Training program. She is a Board Member of the Association of Movment Disorder Advanced Practice Providers and Immediate Past Chair for the American Academy of Neurology Consortium of Neurology Advanced Practice Providers. Honors include 2022 Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, 2021 AANP NP State Award for Excellence New York and Jonas Nurse Leader Scholar.
