Heather McGrath is a nurse practitioner (NP) leader in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and internationally. As Non-communicable Disease Coordinator, she practices at Saint James Public Health Services. The voice for NPs in Jamaica, she has advocated for better pay, improved work conditions, and prescriptive rights. As Caribbean Representative, McGrath joined the International Council of Nurses NP/Advanced Practice Nurse Network in 2017, moving to Membership Officer in 2021. Recognized as an International Ambassador of the AANP in 2018, she has mentored all subsequent ambassadors. Additional positions have included Editorial Board Member for the Journal of the AANP, President of the Jamaica Association of NP (JANP), and liaison between JANP and the Nurses Association of Jamaica.
