Leslie Kennard Scott PhD, APRN, PPCNP-BC, MLDE, CDCES, FAANP
Dr. Leslie Scott is an associate professor at the University of Kentucky, College of Nursing. She is the Coordinator of the Primary Care, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program. She is a board certified, pediatric nurse practitioner and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist. Her clinical practice is in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Kentucky, Barnstable-Brown Diabetes Center. In 2018, she received the Dickenson Wright, Nurse of the Year Award and the Florence Nightingale Awards in Nursing. Both awards were for her continued service to children with diabetes in Kentucky. Dr. Scott continues her advocacy efforts for access to safe care at school for children with diabetes throughout Kentucky.
