Hyun Ju Kang DNP, MSN, FNP-C, FAANP
Colonel Hyun Anne Kang is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 21 years of clinical, operational and leadership experience. Dr. Kang currently serves as the Chief Nursing Officer at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas and concurrently serves as the Deputy Family Nurse Practitioner Consultant to the Army Surgeon General. Dr. Kang spearheaded Army operational and contingency medicine and removed practice barriers, opening leadership opportunities previously closed to Army FNPs. Dr. Kang has one combat deployment to Iraq and has been recognized for her distinguished service on numerous occasions. She has received 19 military awards and decorations for her service and has learned the prestigious Order of Military Medical Merit and "9A" Clinical Expert Proficiency Designator.
