Sara Jones, PhD, APRN, is an Associate Professor at McNeese State University, College of Nursing & Health Professions, as the DNP Program Coordinator and PMHNP specialty advisor in the Graduate Nursing Department. She is committed to teaching the next generation of health professionals to provide culturally competent, evidence-based mental healthcare. She has been a psychiatric nurse for 20 years and PMHNP-BC for 12 years. She owns a private practice in Arkansas and employs 6 mental healthcare providers. She is also a Fellow in AANP and in the American Academy of Nurses.
