Kelley Stallworth Borella DNP, WHNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Borella is an assistant professor and interim assistant dean for graduate clinical education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and maintains a faculty practice at Cooper Green Mercy Health Services. She is a member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health Board of Directors. Her accomplishments in advancing women's health include reopening a gynecology clinic for over 4,000 underserved women and establishing prenatal services for Hispanic women in rural Alabama. These demonstrate her dedication to reducing health disparities and improving maternal outcomes. Through leadership roles in academia, clinical training and policy advocacy, she has significantly impacted the development of nurse practitioners, enhanced access to care and influenced practice standards at local and national levels. Dr. Borella was awarded the 2023 National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health Inspiration for Practice Award.
