Eugenia Flores Millender PhD, RN, MS, PMHNP, FAAN, FAANP
Dr. Millender is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, nurse-scientist, tenured full professor, assistant dean of research and co-founder and co-director of the Center for Population Sciences and Health Equity at Florida State University. She developed the Caring and Social Model of Care, a holistic approach led by nurse practitioners that integrates mental, physical and sociocultural health services. Additionally, Dr. Flores Millender established a nurse practitioner-led community health center and a telehealth concierge practice. These initiatives have expanded care to thousands, particularly benefiting uninsured populations. She was inducted into the Florida Atlantic University Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Alumni in 2018, named a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2020 and a Presidential Leadership Scholar in 2023 by the Presidential Centers of George W. Bush, William J. Clinton, George H.W. Bush and Lyndon B. Johnson.
