Dr. Almotairy, an assistant professor at King Saud University, and incoming founding dean for Dr. Sulaiman Al-Habib College, is a renowned leader for advancing the advanced practice nurse (APN) role in Saudi Arabia. As the first board-certified nurse practitioner in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Almotairy’s leadership has been instrumental in the recognition and regulation of APNs, ensuring these roles are implemented across health care settings to improve accessibility and health equity. His research has addressed the integration of APNs within Saudi health care; successfully garnered recognition from executive clinical leaders, academic professionals and health care providers; and significantly influenced the development of core competencies and potential regulatory frameworks for APNs. Dr. Almotairy has been honored for his scholarly contributions, including receiving dissemination awards for recent publications in top-tier journals and being invited to presentations at prestigious national and international conferences focused on health care innovation and APN practice.
