Julius Johnson DNP, FNP-BC, RN, FAANP
Julius Johnson, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, FAANP currently serves as the department chair and an associate professor at the Long Island University-Brooklyn School of Nursing. He also currently serves as the president of the Greater NYC chapter of the National Black Nurses Association. Dr. Johnson led transformative clinical initiatives at the height of the pandemic creating community vaccine clinics and pop-ups that advanced vaccine equity in underserved communities throughout NYC. Dr. Johnson helped to build one of the largest home-based primary care companies in the United States. He is a trailblazer in advancing nurse practitioner educational initiatives. In 2018, Dr. Johnson was recognized as one of NBNA’s 40 under 40 rising stars and in 2021 received the organization’s second highest award, the Trail Blazer award.
