CDR Accursia Baldassano, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, NEA-BC, CEN, FAANP is the Associate Director for Branch Clinics at the Navy Medicine & Readiness Training Command Pensacola. She was the sole provider in rural Romania during the COVID-19 pandemic. She negotiated health care delivery with host nation regulations and effectively created policy change with the U.S. Embassy Attaché, while preventing a pandemic across the military installation. She is a proponent for the Navy FNP community and is recognized for her efforts in advocating for NPs to serve in supervisory roles in austere environments. She is a champion in support of NPs serving in roles primarily reserved for physicians on warships. Her decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal for her accomplishments at her last two assignments.
