Edgar Oliver San Luis MSN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Captain San Luis is the officer in charge of the Naval Training Center in San Diego. As a family nurse practitioner and consultant to the U.S. Navy Surgeon General, he shaped and directed military health policy and expanded the training and scope of practice for FNPs in traditional and non-traditional clinical settings. His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal. Captain San Luis received the Advanced Practice Nurse Excellence Award for the Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego County for his leadership and significant contributions in improving healthcare outcomes and promoting quality of care by advanced practice nurses.
