Gwendolyn L Hooper PhD, FNP-BC, CUNP, FAUNA, FAANP
Gwendolyn Hooper, PhD, FNP-BC, CUNP, FAUNA, FAANP is an Associate Professor at The University of Alabama Capstone College of Nursing where she teaches in the FNP and DNP programs of study. Much of her professional service has been to the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates where she served as President and has been inducted as a Fellow. Her clinical practice and career have focused on prostate cancer and women with urinary incontinence. She has published and presented nationally and internationally on pelvic organ prolapse and the use of pessaries. She is a Hartford Institute of Geriatric Nursing Scholar, and a Deep South Minority Aging Research Scholar. She has been awarded for her outstanding commitment to teaching, and contributions to the urology nursing society.
