Kerry Ann Peterson PhD, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FAANP
Kerry Peterson, PhD, DNP, PMHNP is an Associate Professor and Specialty Director of the PMHNP Program at the University of Colorado. Dr. Peterson developed a new PMHNP program, expanded PMHNP simulation, and created a novel stress impact course for nursing students. She has extensive practice and research expertise working with survivors of abuse as well as evidence-based violence prevention initiatives. Dr. Peterson delivers national level PMHNP leadership, research, and advocacy. She was awarded the Psychiatric Mental Health Endowed Professorship at the CU College of Nursing and is a CU Excellence in Leadership Fellow. Dr. Peterson received the Young Career Achievement Distinguished Alumni Award from Shenandoah University and the Sigma Theta Tau International Research Dissertation Award.
