Amy Margaret Becklenberg DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, FAANP
Amy Becklenberg, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner (FNP), an Assistant Professor and FNP Program Director at Emory University Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing. Throughout her 24-year career, she has worked to improve health outcomes of populations experiencing health disparities in the US and globally. Implementation of interventions that address Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) is the major thrust of her research and contributions to APRN education. Her DNP project involved customizing the “Talk With Me Baby”(TWMB) early language and literacy initiative, for which she received the Nursing Student Research Award from Georgia State University. Dr. Becklenberg’s project made this intervention more accessible to English language learners in community contexts.
