Kristen M Childress DNP, ARNP, FNP-BC, AGNP-C, CWCN-AP, FAANP
Dr. Childress is an associate teaching professor in the school of nursing at the University of Washington. She is also a nurse practitioner at The Manette Clinic in Bremerton, WA. Her career has focused on improving care outcomes for vulnerable older adults through the development of innovative practice models, interprofessional education offerings and through community collaboration. She has applied her unique expertise in dementia care, chronic wound care and primary palliative care to clinical practice and expanded the reach of this work by equipping both lay people and health care professionals with the tools to improve person-centered care for older adults. In 2023 she was recognized as a Nurse Practitioner of Influence at the University of Washington and selected for the Geriatric Nursing Education Award from the Western Institute of Nursing.
